The situation in Afghanistan was already at a critical stage before the events of September 11. More than two decades of civil war, three years of drought and now aerial bombardment have left the nation devastated and literally millions displaced.

Partner Information: In the face of this human catastrophe we have established a unique partnership with an international food relief campaign; Feeding Children International. Through this partnership, GAiN has been give the opportunity to connect food resources to those in need in Afghanistan.
Established in 1999 under the leadership of Richard Proudfit, Kids Against Hunger, is an international food relief campaign operating within Feeding Children International (FCI). Kids Against Hunger, in collaboration with a team of scientists from leading food production companies such as Cargill, Pillsbury, General Mills and Archer Daniels Midland set out to find a viable way to mass feed the world.
BALANCED HIGH NUTRITION MEALS: The team from Kids Against Hunger, Cargill, Pillsbury, General Mills and Archer Daniels Midland successfully developed a food mixture comprised of fortified soybean, essential vitamins & minerals, vegetables, and rice. Our food packet can potentially reverse the starvation process, help restore health, and may improve a child’s mental and physical alertness.

- Vitamin Fortified: Each serving contains twenty-one essential vitamins & minerals for a growing body
