Building for Growth and Self-Sufficiency
Long-term development is the key to building stable, sustainable societies that are better able to improve life for their people or withstand war and strife. Current technology of developed nations is assessed to analyze its applicability in improving the lives of people from developing countries. Our holistic approach to development includes implementing different kinds of projects in the same area, such as water, medical, hygiene education. This meets multiple needs concurrently and fosters sustainable communities. In addition to applying technology, our A.L.E.R.T. (Acts of Love Emergency Response Team) staff and volunteers can offer training in trauma counseling to help people heal from deep emotional wounds of war or long-term strife. GAiN purposes to holistically meet people’s needs, and through like-minded in-country partners, seeks to foster ongoing relationships in helping them rebuild their lives and hope for their futures.
